You don’t have to read very far before you see story after story of churches reaching so many people this year. Big growth and life change was in every story that I read. I am excited for so many of my friends from Shawn Lovejoy at Mountain Lake Church, Tadd Grandstaff at Pineridge, to Perry Noble at NewSpring, Clay Nesmith at Barefoot Community, Eric Taylor at Journey Church and Michael L at Oak Leaf. I was also thrilled to hear that many churches in Columbus, GA doubled their size. God is awesome. He is in the buisness of using men and women to do his work and he loves seeing you give and risk it all for his GLORY. Way to go….
I was in Birmingham today meeting with Brian Jones-president of Details communications the best branding-marketing design company anywhere.
Brian, I want to thank you for what you are doing for us. It’s not often in life that someone comes along and does something as gracious as you. You have encouraged us and we are grateful.
Christy and I are rapidly approaching 15 years of marriage and I can honestly say that I love her now more than ever. I still get excited when we go out on a date and have time with each other. I have seen her transform over the years into a Godly mature woman, mother and wife. If I was 23 again and I could line up all the girls in our college and pick one….I would still pick you. You are my girl and I love you with all my heart.
Thanks for being such a great role model for our kids and for me. Your AWESOME!!!
If your up for a good read, let me wet your appetite.
Good to Great, by Jim Collins—I am reading this with a couple of friends of mine and getting a ton out of it. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to excel in true leadership. Those who really want to have lasting impact, not just get the spotlight and make a few bucks.
The Pursuit of GOD, by A.W Tozer—I was challenged to read this and now I know why. This gives unbelievable perspective into what it’s like to truly desire God more than any thing else. Pursuing him more than ourselves.
So if your game, read them with me and let me know your thougths…
Perry Noble and the Newspring Church team were incredible today!!! Today was one of those special days where you did’nt expect anything and you get alot. I heard from God and was inspired!!
Thanks to Paul Peterson for hooking me up with the ticked.
I used to think life was all about “taking the hill”. In my 2o’s, I was 10′ tall and bullet proof. I was thrilled about any challenge out there–ready to charge in the fight and make a difference. Now after a few years of life under my belt, I have learned a very valuable lesson: It’s not about taking the hill, but who you take it with!!! I am ever more grateful for the people who I count as friends. There is nothing like going through life with someone by your side. David had Johnathan and Paul had Timothy—All through the Bible starting with God being a “tri-une” God we get the picture that life was ment to be done as a team. We can accomplish much when we do it together. I can’t think of much that has ever been accoumplished of significance that was done solo.
I am thrilled about spending the next 50 years of my life with people who want to CHANGE THE WORLD!!
Thank all of you for your notes, calls and your prayers…
To fill in the gaps, after surgery Dr.H. got an infection and it went into his blood stream and caused organ failure. He has had a couple close calls since but is now stable. The doctors say he is not out of the woods yet so please continue to pray.
The family is all doing well…They are an amazing bunch of people who love God and trust in him!!!
We are grateful to have friends like you.
Recently, I had a meeting with our first potential business partner. I was able to share the goal and the plan, and at the end of our conversation he commited to $20,000. How about that…
I want to keep this person his business anoumous at this point but, I wanted to THANK YOU. You are awesome!! What you have done will inspire others.
I can’t tell you how cool it is to see God work through business leaders. Many of them just get it. They understand that God has given them the opportunity to resource his kingdom and help transform people’s lives.
Our goal, not including my salary (which is 90% raised) is $200,000. This will cover all start up costs (equipment, marketing, intial outreach to the city of Columbus)) and 1st year operations.
If you know of anyone who may be intersested partnering with us, drop me a line…I’d love a chance to share our vision.
We have a huge opportunity to impact thousands for all of Eternity!!!
